Dear Citizens of Billawar,

It is my proud privilege and honour that Billawar Sub Divisional Administration is dedicating its website to all of you. This website has been designed to facilitate you to access maximum information about Billawar and various other departments in Billawar and also by enabling you to access information available on other important websites by way of providing links to them.

Billawar Sub division is an important Sub Division of Kathua District having area 1,66,378 acres out of which nearly 35% is hilly. There are two blocks in this Sub Division namely Billawar and Lohai-Malhar. Billawar Sub Division is comparatively plain while Lohai- malhar is almost completely hilly.

Billawar has many important religious places for both Hindus and Muslims like Sukrala Mata, Bala Sundari Mata, Panchtirthi, Khwajja Khajjair Peer/varun Devta etc. Sukrala Mata temple in Sukrala village is most famous of them. People have great respect for this temple.

Billawar Sub Division is politically very active subdivision. The people have good political awareness and they raise very pertinent issues of development and other issues related to their well being. Billawar is educationally also very important Sub division. Several people from various important villages like Bhaddu, Kohag etc. have achieved educational excellence and have earned name and fame not only for their village but for entire Billawar.

But there are some issues like lack of accessibility to many parts of the sub Division. Almost whole of Lohai-Malhar Block is accessible only on foot. The people of this area have to travel four-five or more hours to reach Bilawar. This issue has been the concern of the government so the work of PMGSY is in full swing in whole of Billawar Sub Division.

Ration distribution in entire Sub Division has improved. On Health issue we have been always on our toes to provide you the best possible Heath facilities. The attendance of the government officers and employees has improved in last almost one year. Settlement process is going on in Tehsil Billawar. We have been able to prepare and complete Record of Rights for nine No. of villages so far and will try to complete this process of settlement in whole Tehsil Billawar, expeditiously provided sufficient staff is made available, so that new revenue records are prepared, up dated and made available to public for their use. This process of settlement with also help to minimise the litigation among the land owners. I congratulate and thank whole revenue department of Billawar sub division for this.

We have also organized some camps in the villages/Niabat for issuance of PRC's for the residents of Billawar Tehsil, so that people get the State Subjects easily at their villages and need not to cover large distances. It has been our Endeavour to provide the quick, effective and efficient administration and service delivery at your doorsteps.

I thank all citizens of Billawar for extending their whole hearted support for the administration. I welcome all their suggestions to improve the service delivery and administration in Billawar. I request all of you to please convey your valuable suggestions to improve us. I assure you from whole of administration that your suggestions will be well taken and it will be our efforts to provide a better administration to you. I request you to please contact us regarding any problem or any issue at any time. We are always with you, for you and will always remain so.

Thank You Very Much.
